The 1855 Mint Set with just the copper and silver coinage is easier to complete, of course, than the set including the gold with its numerous rarities. However, there are several keys to this set, too. The 1855-O quarter, as well as the 1855-S quarter and half dollar are legendary rarities among Liberty Seated collectors and have pressure from rarity collectors, as well. The half cent and large cent are quite available, as well as the half dimes and dimes (the 1855-O half dime is elusive, but a couple of dozen Mint State coins exist). This set is challenging, but obtainable with patience.
