Like the three sets that preceded it, the 1848 Copper and Silver Mint Set is also fairly small, consisting of only 8 coins. All six denominations were struck in Philadelphia, while the Half Dime and Half Dollar were also made in New Orleans. The New Orleans issues were struck in good quantity, so they are quite available. As there are no scarce coins, this is a very completable set.
