Philippines Half Centavo, Proof (1903-1908)

Small and beautiful, the proof half centavos are a fun but difficult series. These copper coins were affected by the humid climate causing their discoloration. Gem Red specimens for most years number only a handful. Despite the low populations, the set is still relatively inexpensive. However, that is destined to change with the growing popularity of the series.
