Obverse: Mother and child at left, looking upward to the right, city view in distant background, legend below city view; decorative border of roses at rim; Reverse: Youth cocking crossbow, facing right, images of past halberdiers in near background at left and far background at right; anepigraphic. A charming medal whose design emphasizes the human element involved in defense of the homeland. An attractive and high grade example with a light argent patina and matte finish.
