Obverse: Arms of Solothurn superimposed on Arms of Switzerland, both superimposed on an array of crossed rifles and flag; perimeter legend; Reverse: Mayor Niklaus von Wengi, standing, facing, with his right hand on a cannon - preventing a religious war in Solothurn; city view in background, WENGI 1533 below.
