- Lot 402 1793 C-3 R3 Liberty Cap. PCGS graded VF-20.Rather frosty medium brown blending to light chocolate with a swipe of dark olive brown toning near the rim right of the lower curls. The surfaces are perfectly smooth but slightly dull from a thin layer of natural oxidation, and it appears this half cent has never been brushed. The only marks are a fine, very old scratch hidden against the profile from the forelock down to the lips. The scratch looks like dirt or crud tucked up against the profile. It is not visible to the unaided eye. MDS. The date and legends are complete and clear. Our grade is F12. The attribution and Widok Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label.
