Tied for FINEST graded at PCGS and this 1914-D nickel is truly SUPERB! This buffalo will stop you in your tracks! Brilliantly lustrous surfaces are aglow with a beaming satiny frost. The fields are extremely clean and devoid of any marks, flecks or discolorations anywhere. Both sides are framed by a classic album patina along the obverse periphery. Golden-apricot shades dominate, deepening to a narrow band of emerald and fuchsia and lightening to a brilliant silver dusted with rose and lilac hues. The reverse is evenly bathed in a champagne-gold. Both sides are razor sharp in definition and show zero imperfections anywhere. The eye appeal stampedes at you! PCGS 11, NGC 1, CAC 3. This coin is FRESH to the market! It is not the one that sold in the 2019 FUN auction for $21,600, nor is it the Angel Dee's coin that sold in our December 2016 Regency Auction. Back in January 2005 one sold for a record $32,775 and it did not have the outstanding color that imparts this coin's stunningly gorgeous looks. The current PCGS Price Guide value is $21,500 and the CAC CPG value is listed at $24,200. Those levels should be surpassed rather easily when this one crosses the block. THERE ARE NONE GRADED FINER, making this the prime candidate for any very special, high end Registry Set. Bidding will be fierce! Cert. Number 36306318 PCGS # 3925.00
