详细说明: 1793 Cohen-2, Breen-2. Rarity-3. AU-58 (PCGS). A very attractive example of this high-relief type. Lustrous chocolate brown surfaces show faint golden overtones and lively fields. Glossy and attractive, without the roughness or planchet flaws so often seen on this issue. Some scattered marks are noticed, though none are alarming to the naked eye and most of those on the right side of the obverse seem to predate striking. A very thin vertical pin scratch intersects a similar horizontal scratch in the lower left obverse field, present but only notable under scrutiny. A short diagonal scratch is noted below EN of CENT on the reverse. The detail is superb, with the round contours of the obverse device and the fine intricacies of the reverse all fully realized. This coin would be a magnificent lead-off to a high-grade type set or a prize addition to a specialized copper collection. Housed in an old green label ECGS holder.
