- ITALY. Naples & Sicily (Naples). Coronato, ND (1488-94)-T. Ferdinand I of Aragon. PCGS AU-55. cf. MEC-1006. Variety with reverse legend ending in "TVE". Pale, lustrous surfaces remain fresh and original despite age. Amber-russet and sapphire hues clean to the rims, demonstrating that the surfaces are indeed natural. The strike is well executed, demonstrating a generous amount of detail in the portrait and the figure of the Archangel Michael. Undoubtedly bound to be a popular offering. Estimate: $150 - $300.
