- HUNGARY. St. George Silver Medal, ND. PCGS EF-45 Secure Holder. 44.03 mm. Huszar-5. Mounted St. George defeating a dragon with his lance; Reverse: Christ and two Apostles aboard a ship during a storm. A popular design which was struck in various iterations for hundreds of years. Based on the look of the surfaces and die style this piece is likely from the 17th century and closely resembles the work of Christian Herman Roth. Well preserved with no signs of mounting, cleaning or polishing and free of any detracting marks from mis-handling. Classic even medium gray tone. Estimate: $250 - $350.
