详细说明: Presented here is a very high end example of one of the most important Lincoln Memorial cents, and among the KEYS in the entire series. The obverse is fully and boldly doubled. Well struck and the devices show only the slightest rub on the high points, this PQ GEM AU is evenly toned in a mahogany-brown with some lighter brown and hints of slight blue highlights. The surfaces are generally smooth and show only the slightest little marks, consistent with the grade. It is a beautiful coin for the grade and would make a great addition to any advanced Lincoln cent collection. While the mintage is unknown, it is extremely RARE in all grades. Genuine examples are known to exist only since the 1990s. Today, they are keys with fewer than 80 graded in total between PCGS and NGC. PCGS 15, NGC 2, CAC 5. The most recent PCGS/CAC example brought $28,800 in the 2018 ANA auction. Prior to that we sold one in December 2016 for $28,200. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $26,500 and this one should bring more.
