This is a wholesome, original and CHOICE example of this KEY date. While a lower grade, the 1804 quarter is a rarity in all grades, and this B-1 has bold definition to the design elements for the grade quality surfaces. Hints of pale blue can be seen on the even light gray surfaces. The eye appeal is very bold for the date and grade. Housed in an old green tag holder. Only 6,738 quarters were struck, most disappearing into early U.S. federal period commerce. Most survivors today are not just heavily circulated, but have serious condition flaws like cleaning, tooling, etc. This wonderful example shows only honest, even, and wholesome wear, making it a highly desirable piece for the early type collector. PCGS 27, NGC 8, CAC 8. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $12,500 and the CAC CPG value is $11,200. This coin last sold for nearly $10,000 in our May 2019 Regency Auction, and is the most recent example of this grade to sell in auction. An attractive, collector grade example of this KEY Draped Bust quarter that will see strong bidding. Demand is always high for blue chip coins like this! Good luck. Cert. Number 2418174 PCGS # 5312
