- Lot 366 1853 N-19 R1 Repunched 853 PCGS graded MS64 Brown.Lustrous golden tan and light olive. Satiny mint frost covers this cent and the only notable marks are a small but obvious depression on the rim at star 6 and a few tiny ticks on the diagonal of the N in CENT. LDS, die state c. Repunching is visible at the bottom of the 3 but it is no longer visible on the 8 & 5. The obverse is clearly misaligned to K-9. Our grade is MS62,tied for CC#12 in the Grellman census. The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 7; 4 finer: 1 in 65, 3 in 66.
