详细说明: 1813 Classic Cent. S-293. Rarity-2. MS-63 BN (NGC). A monumental example of this scarce date and type, as these Classic Head large cents are rarely found in mint condition, let alone in Choice. The fields are bathed in brown luster with tinges of blue surrounding the devices. The strike is sharp for this date as Liberty's curls show full definition along with the wreath, while the usual softness is present on a few of the obverse stars. Planchets for 1813 were of lower quality than the following year, and finding an 1813 cent on a pleasing copper planchet has always been a challenge for collectors. With intact luster, satiny tan to brown color and a mint state grade is quite a triumph. Condition Census quality at this level, with a few seen a point or two finer, and a small cluster that survive at this level. An important offering for the date or variety specialist.
