A particularly rare occurrence in any numismatic market, this is the third Mint State 1889-CC silver dollar to cross your cataloger's (JLA) desk for this sale. Normally highly elusive at this level, the 1889-CC is the key issue to completion of a Carson City Mint Morgan dollar set, and one of the key issues to the circulation strike Morgan series as a whole. This handsomely toned piece is bathed in rich dove-gray patina with intermingled highlights of iridescent golden-apricot and powder blue.
