- 1759/8-A Sou Marque. Paris Mint. Vlack-40, var. No Stop After Heron. First Semester. MS-61 (PCGS). 31.0 grains. While Vlack (2004) lists this overdate variety paired with the reverse with an extra stop after the heron, the author reports only a 1759/8/4 variety for this die combination without the extra stop. This is a bright, satiny piece with full silvering and sharp central striking detail. The peripheries are softer, especially the left obverse where a concentration of planchet striations is noted.
