- SWITZERLAND. Bern Cantonal Shooting Festival Silver Medal, 1897. PCGS SPECIMEN-64. R-234a; Martin-149. By M. Leu and Franz Homberg, Bern. 45mm. Obverse: Bernese bear passant to left, within decorative border; perimeter legend; Reverse: Standing figure of Adrian von Bubenberg, facing right, with outstretched left hand and right hand on sword hilt; perimeter legend. An interesting stylistic dichotomy is seen in this medal design with very traditional execution, including lettering, on the obverse, paired with a much more modern composition and lettering style on the reverse.
