详细说明: Ex Witham, as noted on the insert. Just below the Condition Census for the O-101 die marriage, this is a very popular early Capped Bust half dollar overdate variety. A truly delightful example from a famed old time collection. The surfaces are smooth and frosty, enveloped with a rich, deep blend of golden brown, steely-blue, and varied iridescent toning gives this essentially CHOICE Mint State example a fantastic and totally original look. Typical for the issue, the left stars are softly struck, but the central devices on both sides are crisp with full definition. The overdate and die lump between 18 and 11 are all bold and the eye appeal is great. Ex Witham Collection of Capped Bust Half Dollars, Heritage, August 2010, lot 4852. PCGS 9, NGC 2, CAC 2. When this coin sold back in 2010, it was not CAC and it realized $7,475. Flash forward to 2022, the PCGS Price Guide value is $10,500 and the CAC CPG value is $10,000.
