- Lot 308 1839 N-2 R2 Head of 1838 PCGS graded MS62 Brown, CAC Approved.Choice glossy light to medium brown. Frosty luster covers the fields and protected areas and this cent has outstanding eye appeal. Looks mint state but there is a touch of wear on the highest points of the devices. Nearly flawless; a tiny tick off the end of the nose, a small nick on the rim at star 11, and a tiny rim bruise at the F in OF are the only marks. MDS with flowlined fields and the die lines from the dentils over the first S in STATES are dull but still visible. Our grade is AU50. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 3; 10 finer: 1 in 63, 6 in 64, 2 in 65, 1 in 65+. PCGS #37225.
