- 1795 Liberty Cap Half Cent. C-4, B-4. Rarity-3. Plain Edge, Punctuated Date. Fine-15 (PCGS). Well defined for the die marriage, showing traces of planchet roughness at the central reverse as is typical for the variety. Liberty's portrait is impressively bold, along with the diagnostic punctuation between the 1 and 7 digits of the date. A thin pinscratch traces Liberty's profile but has long worn into the overall complexion, as has an old flaw in the planchet above TA in STATES. The surfaces are otherwise smooth and glossy, delivering significant eye appeal for this Liberty Cap variety. PCGS# 35080. Click here for certification details from PCGS.
