- As with the 1876-CC, the 1877-CC is the product of a brief era of high silver coinage production at the Philadelphia, Carson City and San Francisco mints in response to silver and Legal Tender notes achieving parity in the market on April 20, 1876. Offered is a conditionally scarce Gem Mint State survivor with splendid golden-tinged surfaces that present as brilliant at most viewing angles. Frosty in finish, sharply struck, and ideal for inclusion in an advanced date or mintmarked type set.
