THE CORINTH COLLECTION One of the KEY issues to the series, the vast majority of this date's mintage of 3.326 million disappeared into circulation. Relatively few remain in Mint State, and GEM examples are very rare. This coin was graded ages ago in the early days of PCGS, before 1989. This 1886 is sharply struck with a bold luster that enlivens the dusting of gold, lilac, rose, and tangerine that really pops when the light hits the surfaces. The surfaces are free of any serious marks or discolorations. The eye appeal is wonderful. PCGS 52, NGC 22. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $5,500 and this GEM will see very spirited bidding when it crosses the block. This coin has been off the market for ages and will delight any Liberty nickel collector! Good luck. Cert. Number 1193619 PCGS # 3847
