Tied with just one other for FINEST in the RB category and is numerically finest in all color designations. The date is boldly repunched with the upper loop of the first 6 slightly higher, while the 7 is dramatically lower. Bold, intensely lustrous surfaces show a lovely wood grain pattern that graces the orange-tan patina of the surfaces. Sharply struck devices stand out with all the details crisply impressed on both sides. Totally original, this GEM has a great look that screams quality, as attested by the lofty assigned grade by PCGS, the green CAC bean, and the Eagle Eye Seal. A great coin for any advanced Indian Head cent collection. PCGS 13, NGC 15, CAC 6. PCGS has graded just two in MS65+ RB and NONE FINER. While PCGS lists a value of $8,000, as the highest numerically graded in any color designation at PCGS, that number is probably too low. Only time will tell when the hammer falls on this lot.
