- Lot 1 1793 C-1 R3+ PCGS graded AU50.Beautiful glossy medium brown and light chocolate with slightly darker steel brown toning on the highest points of the devices. The surfaces are perfectly smooth and this piece offers superior eye appeal. The only marks are a couple small rim nicks before the face and another barely visible one over the Y in LIBERTY. Sharply struck and nicely centered on a flawless planchet. EDS, Manley state 1.0, before any die roughness formed in the field before the portrait. A great example of our first Federal Half Cent. Our grade is EF40+, close to EF45.The attribution and Green Tree Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label.
