详细说明: Lot 304 1851 N-37 R4 PCGS graded MS64 Brown.Very lustrous bluish steel and light olive with hints of very faded mint red in a few protected areas on both sides. A beautiful cent with no spots and only a few small contact marks. A small diagonal nick on the jaw, a tick on the diagonal of the N in CENT, and some extremely light and barely visible pinscratches around RICA are the only notable marks, and they are not distracting. MDS, die state b late. The diagonal die lines from the dentils at star 13 are nearly gone but some remain visible, and there is a clear lump on the left bottom of the T in CENT. Our grade is MS60(but the eye appeal of this cent suggests a significantly higher grade), and CC#4 for the variety in the Grellman census. Only four mint state examples have been recorded. The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 2; 3 finer: 1 in 64+, 2 in 65.
