- SWITZERLAND. Zürich City Shooting Society Free Shoot Bronze Medal, 1892. PCGS SPECIMEN-66. R-1752b; Martin-1038. By Hugues Bovy, Genf, and Freytag. 48mm. Obverse: Helmeted lion salient, facing right, with the flag of the shooting society in its left paw and its right paw on a coat of arms inscribed 1530, all superimposed on acanthus scrolls; perimeter legend; Reverse: Allegory of Zürich (Tigurina), seated and facing, her left hand on the head of a lion couchant, her right holding a palm branch and resting on the Arms of Zürich; eleven small coats of arms along the top perimeter, legend in exergue below. A very attractive high-grade example with lustrous mahogany surfaces. Listed as "Rare" in Richter. Estimate: $400 - $700. Provenance: From the PHG Collection.
