Obverse: Arms of Lucerne superimposed on a large Swiss cross, all upon a sprig of laurel, date at upper right, perimeter legend; Reverse: Helmeted and curaissed bust of Helvetia facing right, city and landscape in the background; anepigraphic. A charming medal design indicative of the artistic evolution away from dense detail. An attractive silver specimen in matte finish with finely flecked champagne toning throughout.
