This is a very desirable color palette, prized among toned dollar collectors for its deep, rich coloration. While "dark" the blazing cartwheel luster radiates boldly highlighting the hues. Amazing emerald-green and deep crimson-magenta toning envelopes the entire obverse. As the mint brilliance catches the colors and they really pop off the surfaces. We rate the color an 8.5+ on our color scale. The strike is crisp and the surfaces, as expected for a SUPERB GEM of this lofty state of preservation are clean. The eye appeal is enhanced by an arc of gold on the otherwise untoned reverse. PCGS 2010, NGC 2454, NGC 599. There are 233 in MS67+. Very scarce finer. Over seven years ago, this SUPERB coin brought nearly $2,000. We expect it will bring more today, as the market for toned dollars has gotten much wider in the subsequent years. Good luck. Cert.
