- 详细说明
- Struck from the late die state of the O-102 die marriage, the O-102a shows die cracks by the date, the letters on the reverse being drawn to the edge. Two 1811 obverse dies were reused in 1812 with the 2 punched over the 1. The O-101 used a large 8 obverse, and is a major rarity in all grades; the O-102 is scarce, but available in circulated grades, but is still formidable in Mint State, especially in MS63 or finer grades. This coin is just below the Condition Census. Azure and coppery-rose tones are brought out boldly by a brilliant underlying luster. The surfaces are smooth and problem free, with no wear anywhere. The devices are crisp, with sharply defined elements. The eye appeal is great. Ex Charles DeOlden Collection; Bowers & Merena, November 2006, lot 3216, as ICG MS64; our consignor. PCGS 7, NGC 4. There has not been a non-CAC PCGS coins sold in nearly seven years. In August 2019 a PCGS/CAC example sold for $11,400. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $13,750. This very eye appealing example will no doubt bring a strong bid. Cert. Number 26087535 PCGS # 6101
