- YEMEN. 1/2 Ahmadi Riyal, AH 1379 (1959). Sana'a Mint. al-Nasir Ahmad bin Yahya (Imam Ahmad). PCGS MS-65. KM-Y-16.2. Pale satin surfaces display a hint of champagne and periwinkle blue iridescence when rotated under a lamp. The strike is decent for the type, with sword pommels clearly outlined but not fully defined. Given the crude nature of striking using the punched out center of a Maria Theresa Taler, this piece displays rather satisfying Gem quality. Estimate: $60 - $100.
