Circa 1888 Fredericksburgh Lodge medal by George H. Lovett. Published by Isaac Wood. Musante GW-1055, Baker-298. Copper, Bronzed. SP-64 (PCGS). 51.1 mm. Deep chocolate bronze is uniform throughout save for a subtle obverse spot near 9:00, and another tiny one on the reverse. There is also granularity in places that seems to be from problematic bronzing, but it has little effect on the overall eye appeal. Pleasing satiny luster. A distinctively designed medal published by Isaac F. Wood, and quite scarce. Provenance: Ex William Spohn Baker Collection, to the Historical Society of Pennsylvania by bequest, November 15, 1897.
