1857 Flying Eagle Cent. Snow-4, FS-101. Doubled Die Obverse. MS-63 (NGC). A scarce and desirable specimen of this doubled die obverse. Examine the legend and upper tail of the eagle to find the doubling evidence. The strike is average with minor softness on the high points of the design, and the color is attractive golden-rose with lemon accents. A few minute flecks of carbon blend into the surfaces well, with strong luster and high eye appeal throughout. One of the finer examples of this variety and a good collector coin.
