- 41.0 mm. 486.4 grains. Plain edge. Glossy olive-brown with good eye appeal and well struck devices. Some trivial verdigris appears within the reverse legend, but the fields are immaculate. No significant contact marks are noted on either side. With its square edges, this piece is somewhat later than the beveled edge examples coined in the last quarter of the 18th century. Interest in this medal in the era of its production, like others marking events in the West Indies, was significant beyond other varieties of this era and genre that were often collected as a set.
