- Undated (1861-1865) Our Little Monitor / The Union Must and Shall be Preserved. Fuld-238/402 b. Rarity-8. Brass. Plain Edge. AU-53 BN (NGC). 19 mm. This is a curious piece in that, while attributed as brass by NGC, the surfaces have the appearance of copper with dominant ruddy-brown patina on both sides. Iridescent pinkish-apricot and lilac-blue highlights are evident on the obverse. The reverse has intermingled sandy-tan and medium rose and is more sharply struck.
