This is the most gorgeous Franklin Half Dollar we have seen since the 1956 in MS66+ FBL CAC that we sold in January 2019 and is on par with the SPECTACULAR 1958 in 67+ FBL that we sold for a world record $129,250 in September 2018. There are nice Franklins, there are high grade Franklins, then there is THIS Franklin that is a WORLD CLASS coin that is just stunning! Mother Nature and the numismatic gods really did their ABSOLUTE FINEST work--this is a masterpiece! We wholeheartedly believe this coin is just as beautiful as those other two examples. We unhesitatingly pronounce this the BEST and wildest 1958-D half dollar that exists! The color rivals ANY of the BEST Northern Lights coins-really! Electric shades of killer neon like violet/pearl green/raw blue explode all over the obverse in a sparkly way. The reverse has a killer mix of iridescent reddish rims, with phenomenal nearly neon like greenish gold centers. We rank the colors a 10+ on our 1-10 color scale we usually reserve for toned Morgan dollars. The luster is intense, beaming all over, enlivening the ultra sexy and seductive coloration. The surfaces are essentially SHEER PERFECTION, even using a strong glass we cannot find any serious flaw of any kind. PCGS 114, NGC 42, CAC 67. There are a dozen graded 67+ and NONE FINER.
