THE XANNO COLLECTION This is a gorgeous PQ GEM Copper-nickel cent, struck at the height of the Civil War. While common in lower grades, even into the Mint State range, MS66s are decidedly difficult to find, especially so with CAC approval. This is an uber-brilliant example, boasting sensational cartwheel luster over golden-tan surfaces and delicate iridescent overtones. Sharply struck up from a later die state, there are a number of tiny die cuts at the rims and the fields show spalling or die rust that left a unique texture. There are no issues of any kind worthy of mention, the eye appeal is excellent and the quality certainly matches. WOW! PCGS 77, NGC 29, CAC 30. Clearly the PCGS Price Guide value of $2,600 and the CAC CPG value of $3,120 are too low in light of the last PCGS MS66 CAC that sold in auction, which brought $4,080 in June 2021. Prior to that, the Big Mo Collection coin also a 66 CAC brought nearly $3,000 back in July 2020. This one is really nice and will sell for a very strong bid for sure. Good luck. Cert.
