- 1887 International Medical Congress medal by Charles E. Barber. Musante GW-1038, Baker-F-378, Julian-Unlisted. Bronze. SP-61 (PCGS). 76.0 mm. Light rosy orange across the more vulnerable areas due to an old cleaning, while the recesses are deeper orange and brown. A bit mishandled, but still scarce and an impressive medal by the chief engraver of the Philadelphia Mint. Not listed in Robert Julian’s book on the subject, but we suspect that this issue was likely struck in the Mint.
