- 1741-)( Sou Marque. Besançon Mint. Vlack-280a. Rarity-8. VF-20 (PCGS). 27.3 grains. The second and rarer punctuation variant of the year from this challenging mint. Pale brown in color, no silvering, evenly worn, bold in all areas apart from minor softness at the upper right obverse border and toward the lower reverse border. There are a few shallow planchet rifts on both sides, but no marks of consequence. The letter U in LUD is widely repunched. Provenance: From the Sydney F. Martin Collection.
