- 1742-C Sou Marque. Caen Mint. Vlack-59. Rarity-8. MS-61 (PCGS). 27.4 grains. A lovely example of this extremely rare issue, essentially noncollectable as a perfect date. Both sides are pale golden-gray in color with satiny mint luster remaining. Centers a little soft and rough, as made, with the upper right obverse and lower right reverse obscured for the same reason. Full silvering. Provenance: From the Sydney F. Martin Collection.
