The 1919-D nickel is a tough date in any Mint State grade, and is especially RARE in GEM grade as seen here. Iridescent pastel and pearly tone is amplified by a strong, nickel-silver luster. Sharply struck throughout the design types this GEM has a great look for the assigned grade. We are not sure why it did not bean at CAC, the quality is all there! Housed in an old green tag holder. PCGS 70, NGC 21. The current Collectors Universe value is $5,000 and it jumps to $8,500 in 65+. A strong bid will be required to take this beautiful GEM home. Cert. Number 2270128 PCGS # 3942.00
