详细说明: Lovely Choice AU 1793 Half Cent Popular One-Year Type 1793 Liberty Cap Half Cent. Head Left. C-2. Rarity-3. AU-55 (PCGS). Premium quality through and through, this handsome example combines a glossy copper-rose obverse with a satiny medium brown reverse. Both sides also reveal subtle lilac undertones as the coin dips into a light. Sharply defined throughout, and uncommonly so in a survivor of this issue, with a remarkably smooth texture. A tiny rim disturbance at 9 o'clock on the obverse is mentioned solely for accuracy. The obverse impression is drawn trivially to 3 o'clock and the reverse is rotated approximately 45 degrees clockwise from normal coin alignment, attributes that we have noted in several other 1793 half cents of the C-2 die pairing. A popular and historic issue, this is the United States Mint's premier half cent delivery and the only one of the Head Left Liberty Cap design type. This is one of the finest circulated survivors that we have ever had the privilege of bringing to auction, and it is a coin that would grace even the finest cabinet with its presence. PCGS# 1000.
