- 1918 Walking Liberty Half Dollar. MS-65 (NGC). OH. Our multiple offerings for such examples in this sale notwithstanding, the 1918 is a scarcer early date Walking Liberty half dollar in the finest Mint State grades, as here. This is a sharply to fully defined Gem with slightly mottled copper-apricot iridescence that is boldest around the reverse periphery. Smooth, attractive, and worthy of strong bids. An internal crack at the lower front edge of the NGC holder is noted, as are scuffs in the center on the same side, the latter of which interfere somewhat with viewing of the coin. PCGS# 6574.
