Obverse: Neuchâtel Arms with eagle grasping an oak branch, superimposed on two flags; city view in right background below, legend at right above; Reverse: Mix of soldiers and civilians practicing shooting, banderole with "PATRIE" above. One sees the evolution toward a more modern style in the design, execution, and even choice of lettering punches as the turn of the century nears. A lovely matte, silvery-gray example.
