Lot 20 1803 C-1 R1 NGC graded AU50.Frosty tan and light brown with darker steel brown toning on the highpoints. There is a smudged fingerprint covering much of the portrait that needs to be brushed away to uncover more of the mint luster. Otherwise the only marks are a collection of tiny ticks on the right side of the 0 in the date, a few more under ES in STATES, and a planchet flake on the lower half of the A in HALF (as struck). LDS, Manley state 3.0, with all the fine die cracks he lists for the final die state. Our grade is EF40(probably higher if the smudge was brushed away).
