- 1743-AA Sou Marque. Metz Mint. Vlack-241. Rarity-6. AU-50 (PCGS). 28.9 grains. Mottled rose-russet and olive to a base of pewter-gray. There is plenty of silvering, the detail universally sharp despite the fact that the strike is trivially off center to the upper right obverse and reverse. Both sides with speckles of hard, ancient surface crust that we mention for accuracy; there are no troublesome flan flaws or marks. Provenance: From the Sydney F. Martin Collection.
