- The Discovery Coin for the Rare 1748/7-C Vlack-65a Sou Marque 1748/7-C Sou Marque. Caen Mint. Vlack-65a. Rarity-7. AU-55 (PCGS). Discovery Coin. 32.1 grains. Exceptional condition for this overdate variety, and far nicer than the Vlack plate coin. Full silvering to both sides, the surfaces are lustrous for the grade with a generally smooth satin texture. A bit of planchet roughness through the central reverse is as made and easily forgiven. Boldly defined in most areas with a sharp date and crisp, readily evident 7 underdigit.
