- 1817 Matron Head Cent. N-16. Rarity-1. 15 Stars. AU-53 BN (NGC). An overall glossy complexion complements the blend of crimson, espresso, and caramel hues that paints the patina of each side. A trivial mark is noted at Liberty's chin but all other blemishes are truly insignificant. The dies are somewhat misaligned, as it typical of this variety, with the reverse drawn slightly towards 2 o'clock and the denticles trimmed in that area. Provenance: From the Paradise Collection.
