A thorough search under powerful magnification reveals nary a speck, fleck, flea bite or line of any kind! Back in 2011, Rick Tomaska, an expert on Franklin Half dollars estimated that a mere 200-300 proofs survive with Deep or Ultra Cameo contrast. True to his word, and over a decade later the populations bear proof to these claims! Tied for second finest graded for the designation with just 7 other examples. PCGS 37, NGC 20 (just 3 PR68+), CAC 26. The PCGS Price Guide lists $30,000. The naysayers say CAC stickers don't matter; well we beg to differ. Case in point, a trade in August 2018 of a PCGS CAC stickered example fetched $24,000 which is the current bid price for an MS69!! Meanwhile, two non-CAC MS69 graded coins sold in 2021 and 2020 for $18,600 and 19,200 respectively!
