- 1787 Connecticut Copper. Miller 33.29-gg.1, W-3810. Rarity-5. Draped Bust Left, ETLIR. Fine-12 (PCGS). 112.9 grains. Evenly microporous, but glossy and attractive with only a few tiny inconsequential surface marks and a couple of small planchet flaws. The most notable is at the E of ET LIB, and this one shows somewhat on the obverse as well. Late die states with prominent bulging at the left obverse, left reverse, and lower right reverse. Strong reverse die cracks are also noted. Prominently double struck, and appearing a bit broadstruck, as the second impression served to spread the metal a bit more than usual.
