Tied for FINEST graded, this coin is a wonderful piece well worthy of its lofty designation and is an exceptional example of the first year's mintage of this odd, obsolete denomination. Of course to the naked eye the surfaces are pristine. Much to our surprise, even when using a strong glass they remain flawless! You can spend an entire day looking at this coin and still find ZERO impairments. There is a slight trace of Prooflike texture around the star on the obverse. Deeper original golden brown toning is splashed around but does not fully cover both sides. There are also light hints of original sky blue on the reverse. The strike is incredible and is beyond anything we have seen for any Mint State trime. The eye appeal is fantastic! PCGS 33, NGC 14, CAC 13. There are five in MS67+ and NONE FINER. This piece sold in September 2019 for $9,988 and $9,400 in August 2020. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $10,000. Worthy of a world class three cent silver collection or type set. Bid accordingly! Cert. Number 37721685 PCGS # 3664
